Pump Scout Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

• Search inputs such as city, state, ZIP, postal code, or address.
• Location when you choose a location-based search or submit a nearby community price.
• App usage, feature interactions, diagnostics, and performance information.
• Account identifiers from Sign in with Apple and an email address only when Apple shares it.
• Your chosen Scout Hall username, points, rank, badges, streaks, and activity.
• Community price submissions, confirmations, timestamps, and proximity-verification metadata.
• Device or advertising identifiers where allowed by your settings and consent choices.

2. Location

Pump Scout uses location only when needed for a feature you choose. Current-location searches use your coordinate to find nearby results and calculate distance from your actual search origin. Location may also be processed when validating that a community price submission is close to the selected station.

Pump Scout does not use these features for continuous background location tracking.

3. How We Use Information

• Provide gas, EV charging, station, routing, widget, and alert features.
• Authenticate accounts, restore access, and apply search or reward limits.
• Operate Scout Hall, community contributions, moderation, and anti-abuse protections.
• Improve reliability, performance, security, and fraud prevention.
• Present advertising where applicable and allowed by your privacy choices.

4. Service Providers

Pump Scout uses third-party services to operate the app and website:

• Apple for Sign in with Apple, subscriptions, maps, and platform services.
• Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, functions, storage, diagnostics, and notifications.
• Google AdMob for advertising and rewarded searches.
• HERE Technologies for fuel, place, and routing data.
• Cloudflare for domain, delivery, security, and aggregate website performance analytics.

Scout Hall usernames and related public stats may be visible to other users in the app. Pump Scout does not sell personal data.

5. Website Analytics

This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregate page visits, device categories, and performance measurements. It does not use advertising analytics, marketing cookies, email capture, or Pump Scout app-account tracking.

6. Payments and Retention

Subscriptions are processed by Apple. Pump Scout does not receive or store your payment-card information. Information is retained as needed to provide features, maintain community integrity, prevent fraud, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations.

You can clear local searches, favorites, and history or permanently delete your account from Settings. Some security, integrity, aggregated, or de-identified records may be retained where necessary.

7. Your Choices

• Manage location and tracking permissions in iOS Settings.
• Manage Eagle Scout in App Store Subscriptions.
• Clear stored app data or delete your account in Pump Scout Settings.
• Choose or update your Scout Hall identity after signing in with Apple.

8. Children, Changes, and Contact

Pump Scout is not directed to children under 13.

This policy may be updated when the service changes. The current effective date will always appear at the top of this page.
